David Stern's translation is the only English version of the Bible that is fully Jewish in style and presentation.
He restores the Jewish character of the Hebrew and Greek texts - especially the Gospels - by using neutral terms and Hebrew names, also culturally and religiously by highlighting Jewish features; and finally theologically, by correcting mis-translations resulting from anti-Jewish theological bias.
